Tasty Goan Fish curry, price within easy reach

When in Goa, you must taste the most popular Fish curry, hopefully with your choice of fish i.e. Ravas or Surmai. We chanced upon Le Jardin, the restaurant when we stepped down from the bus we traveled from Mumbai. We were very closed to Hotel Satyaheera near the Mapusa circle. We were getting our bearings as we were new to Mapusa and were quite hungry too.   Le Jardin is located at the corner junction, close to Hotel Satyaheera, on the road leading to the  Alankar  movie theatre. Close by and neighbouring shops are  Kajughar, Punjab and Sind lassiwala, Kesari.  The restaurant serves Non- Veg and Veg in separate areas.  The place is warm with wooden  interiors. We ordered the Fish Thali which came with rice, chapati, a large bowl of goan fish curry with surmai / king fish ( 2 pieces) in each thali, fish fry (one medium piece), veg bhaji, dessert.  Now comes the best part !!!  The Fish Thali was for Rs. 120 only.     Splash away in Alibagh .... a popular seaside getaway, near Mumbai ! M ain attraction.. the huge water slides and Splash pool... Hotel Big Splash, Alibaug  (near Bus depot and Mahesh theatre) is around 30 mins from Mandwa jetty (by auto). The auto charges Rs. 400. Buses operated by the   Ferry service operators stand right outside Mandwa jetty promenade and will stop at the gate of the hotel. State run buses ply between Mumbai and Alibagh bus depot, every 30 minutes.  The hotel has some lovely landscaping with potted plants, coconut trees and a fabulous lawn dotting the periphery around the swimming pool. The focal point here is in the name of the hotel, Big Splash. There are 3 immensely huge water slides ending in delightful Splash Pool. That is a hit with kids and if I may say with some adults (too)! There are pool timings and separate Splash timings. There is a beautiful restaurant on the property, all done up in blue and green, se...
